Why sign in?

Signing in identifies you so that your settings, clips, and licence status are saved across sessions. Both add-ins share the same sign-in process.

Sign in with Microsoft

The fastest way to get started is to use your existing Microsoft account.

  1. Open the add-in and switch to the Profile tab.
  2. Click Login with Microsoft.
  3. A sign-in dialog opens. Enter your Microsoft account credentials.
  4. Once authenticated, your name and email appear in the Profile tab.

TIP

If the Microsoft sign-in dialog does not appear, check that pop-ups are not blocked in your browser or Office settings.

Sign in manually

If you prefer not to use Microsoft sign-in, enter your details directly.

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Below the Microsoft login button, you will see an or enter manually section.
  3. Type your email address and name.
  4. Click Login & check licence.

Your details are saved to your Office profile so you do not need to re-enter them each time.

Accept the EULA

Before you can use the main features, you must accept the End User Licence Agreement.

  1. On the Profile tab, tick the I agree to the EULA terms checkbox.
  2. You can read the full EULA by clicking the link next to the checkbox.
  3. Once accepted, the Scan tab (Template Helper) or Colour tab (Working Document Helper) becomes accessible.

WARNING

If you try to switch to a feature tab without accepting the EULA, a warning message will appear asking you to go back to the Profile tab and accept it first.

Licence status

After signing in, the Profile tab displays your current licence status:

LicenceWhat you get
FreeAll core features. Template Helper limits clips to 2; Working Document Helper colour coding is fully available.
ProUnlimited clips, import functionality (Template Helper). Accept Agreements feature (Working Document Helper).

To upgrade, visit the Pro tab inside the add-in.

Logging out

Click the Logout button on the Profile tab. This clears your session but does not delete your saved settings or EULA acceptance. When you sign in again, your preferences are restored automatically.

Advanced section

The Profile tab includes a collapsible Advanced section with diagnostic information:

  • Storage type — whether your settings are stored in roaming (cloud) or local storage.
  • Host, Platform, Office JS Version — useful for troubleshooting.
  • User ID — your unique identifier.

Feedback

Both add-ins include a Feedback section on the Profile tab. Expand it to type a message and click Submit Feedback. Your feedback is sent directly to the SimpleAddins team.
