Install from Microsoft AppSource
The quickest way to install either add-in is through Microsoft AppSource.
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Go to Insert → Get Add-ins (or Office Add-ins on some versions).
- In the Store tab, search for Template Helper or Working Document Helper.
- Click Add to install the add-in.
The add-in appears in the Home tab of the Word ribbon. Click the icon to open the task pane.
Install via direct link
You can also install directly from the AppSource website:
- Template Helper: Visit the Template Helper AppSource page and click Get it now.
- Working Document Helper: Visit the Working Document Helper AppSource page and click Get it now.
TIP
If your organisation manages Office centrally, your IT administrator may need to approve the add-in before it appears in the Store tab.
Verify the installation
After installing, confirm the add-in is working:
- Click the add-in icon in the Home ribbon tab.
- The task pane opens on the right side of Word.
- You should see the welcome overlay with a brief feature summary.
- Click Got it — Let's start to dismiss the overlay and begin.

Uninstalling
To remove the add-in:
- Go to Insert → Get Add-ins.
- Select My Add-ins.
- Find the add-in, click the three-dot menu, and choose Remove.
